Hashim Amla made 81 in the last game against Zouks. The South African opener was picked up by the Knight Riders in the bidding. Amla interestingly played his first IPL match this year and he has opened his CPL account in this year as well. Amla played a classic innings. It was an absolute treat to watch him. He was on the move from the first ball. He hit the ball in the gaps while the power play was on. The way he commanded his shots on both sides was classic. Ravi Rampaul did manage to get the right ball for Amla but then again the South African was way too clever for the Caribbean bowler. Call is Amla at his very best.

In the second half of the game Amla also encountered a very funny situation. He was batting against Ravi Rampaul and as the fast bowler runs in and was about to bowl at him, Amla took a position to play a scoop shot. Now Rampaul was taking his bowling action when Amla made that move. Rampaul noticed that movement and he just bowled a very slow ball. If we look at the hand of Ravi here it seems that he did not wait to bowl the ball but it just popped out of his hands. Amla has done a lot in the CPL for the Knight Riders. He is one of their key players and Amla has responded with the bat in every match. He has been scoring runs and trying his best to get his side to a decent total all the time.
