The meeting to select India’s squads for the ODI and T20I series against England beginning on January 15 was delayed in Mumbai on Friday because of logistical reasons. The meeting was supposed to begin at 12.30 pm IST but it had not yet begun as of 2 pm.
There were reports about a lack of clarity in selection procedure after the Supreme Court order on January 2 left the BCCI without its president and secretary, while several other office bearers were also thought to be ineligible to continue in office according to the criteria laid down by the Lodha Committee.
