Tom Latham became the tenth batsman to carry his bat through an ODI innings as India bowled New Zealand out for 190 in seam-friendly conditions in Dharamsala. New Zealand were 65 for 7 at one stage, in danger of falling short of 100, but ended up with a relatively respectable total thanks to Latham’s unbeaten 79 and a 45-ball 55 from Tim Southee, who came in at No. 10 and dominated a ninth-wicket partnership of 71 off 58 balls.
