Registration opens for Club Open Days

ECB Club Open Days, supported by Waitrose, is back for 2016, with over 1,000 clubs expected to open their doors to local families and children throughout the summer.

Now in its fourth year, the annual initiative offers the perfect opportunity for clubs to host taster sessions, Kwik Cricket tournaments, BBQs or picnics and welcome newcomers to join the fun.

Event registration is now open via www.ecb.co.uk/clubopendays and clubs can sign up until Monday 20 June.

Registration is now open for Club Open Days 2016

The ECB is encouraging clubs to host their Open Day during July and August as part of an exciting “Summer of Cricket”, when the international, county and grassroots season is in full flow.

Over 1,200 clubs took part in Club Open Days last year with thousands of people enjoying the atmosphere at grounds the length and breadth of England and Wales and over £650,000 was accumulated through fundraising efforts.

Clubs also saw over 4,000 new players sign up as a result of their 2015 day out.

All clubs that register for a Club Open Day must hold their event between 27 May and 4 September 2016.

Participating clubs will receive a host of benefits including an exclusive marketing toolkit, a £100 Waitrose food and drink offer, Kwik Cricket set, and a dedicated local Waitrose store contact to support your club’s event.

Clubs will also be entered into a prize draw on registering for the chance to win a £500 Gray-Nicolls equipment voucher.
