Highlights
The 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League got off to a wonderful start with Rising Pune Supergiants, the team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, defeat two-time and defending champions Mumbai Indians by nine wickets at the Wankhede stadium. (MI v RPS Highlights)
Mumbai Indians chose to bat on a green pitch which assisted the bowlers and they were reduced to 68/7 with Ishant Sharma, Mitchell Marsh and Murugan Ashwin causing the damage. Some late-hitting from Harbhajan Singh, who finished unbeaten on 45, helped Mumbai Indians reach 122.
However, Ajinkya Rahane’s 15th fifty got them over the line with nine wickets remaining. Dhoni has started his stint with Pune on a high.
