Watch – Oman’s winning moment

Oman pulled off a stunning upset against a side that is known for upsetting bigger sides in global tournaments, and shocked Ireland with a two-wicket win in Dharamsala. Chasing 155 on a slow track, Oman’s fortunes swung from one way to another as the opening pair gave them a strong start to be followed by a middle-order wobble, before an Aamer Ali cameo turned things back and they eventually sealed the win with two balls to spare.

Oman needed a stiff 60 from 31 balls after the opening pair had fallen. But Aamer picked boundaries and Ireland also pegged them back with three wickets in the last two overs, before a barrage of full-tosses from Max Sorensen in the last over ended Ireland’s chances.
