Yorkshire shine bright like a Diamond

Yorkshire Diamonds have unveiled a new official crest for this summer’s inaugural Women’s Cricket Super League.

The modern crest incorporates the traditional Yorkshire colours of navy, sky, gold and subtle hints of silver.

“The branding of the Yorkshire Diamonds epitomises the bold new era of professional women’s cricket in England,” said Yorkshire Diamonds general manager Jane Hildreth.

“The striking design ensures the Diamonds will be at the forefront of women’s sport in the region.

“The crest embodies a modern feel that integrates the distinctive Yorkshire County Cricket Club rose and shares the same dynamic typeface that can be seen on the Yorkshire Vikings branding.

“We want sports fans across the county to get behind us as we aim to be successful in the first-ever campaign of the Women’s Cricket Super League.

“The Diamonds will form an integral part of the Yorkshire Cricket family with the objective of being successful on the field whilst offering a fantastic matchday experience for our fans.”

The Diamonds, coached by former White Rose all-rounder Richard Pyrah, take on Loughborough Lightning at Headingley on July 30 in their first match of their WCSL campaign.
