Agarkar: A chance to test new players

Australia’s captain Steven Smith won the toss and chose to bat first against India in the fourth ODI at Manuka Oval.

The hosts included Nathan Lyon for his first ODI appearance since he faced Pakistan in Dubai in late 2014, while David Warner returns in place of Shaun Marsh at the top of the order following the birth of his second child.

India again ignored the spin of R Ashwin, while including Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the expense of the young left-armer Barinder Sran.

It is a hot if slightly overcast day in Canberra. The Manuka pitch looks typically dry and brimful of runs, though offering the possibility of slowing up and helping reverse swing later on.

Australia 1 David Warner, 2 Aaron Finch, 3 Mitchell Marsh, 4 Steven Smith (capt), 5 George Bailey, 6 Glenn Maxwell, 7 Matthew Wade (wk), 8 James Faulkner, 9 John Hastings, 10 Kane Richardson, 11 Nathan Lyon

India 1 Shikhar Dhawan, 2 Rohit Sharma, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Ajinkya Rahane, 5 Gurkeerat Singh, 6 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Rishi Dhawan, 9 Ishant Sharma, 10 Umesh Yadav, 11 Bhuvneshwar Kumar
