Rain rules again in Sydney

The third Test between Australia and West Indies looks certain to end in a draw after yet another washout on day four at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The elements have ruled during the New Year Test with just 86.2 overs bowled in the opening four days.

No play was possible yesterday for the second successive day following day three’s washout, the first time in more than 25 years that that has happened in Australia.

With West Indies on 248 for seven in their first innings, there seems no chance of a result in the final match of the three-Test series, which the hosts lead 2-0.
